Empanadas Salvadoreñas: Empanadas de Platano Ingredients: 2 plantains (ripe) 1 1/2 cup of milk (1%, 2%, skin milk, whole milk) cinnamon stick 4 1/2 tbs of corn starch 5 tbs of sugar fried beans oil around 5 cups of water Instructions: In a pot put the 5 cup of water, and add the 2 plantains, add the cinnamon stick, and 2 tbs of sugar, cook over medium heat, cover with a lid and let it boil, meanwhile, prepare the milk for the EMPANADAS, In a pot pour 1 cup of milk, 3 tbs of sugar, and cinnamon stick, with the other half of milk, dissolve the 3 tbs of corn starch and combine it with the milk in the pot, start to cook over medium heat and stir constantly until boiling. Peel the cook plantain and start to smash it, wait until the plaintain is warm, now take a little ball in your hand, make a circle and put the milk in the center or fried beans, close it and make a rombo shape, now you can put the EMPANADA in the hot oil, do the same step with the remaining mixture, once completed all you are ready to eat. note: you can add sugar to the EMPANADA when is completely cook. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!
